The Wise and the Foolish

The Wise and the Foolish (Rabbi Noah Farkas)

What is the difference between a wise person and a fool?

Even fools will do a wise thing now and then, And the wisest of folks sometimes act foolishly.

A fool never changes their mind. Conditions change, new times come but the fool remains the same.

What is the difference between a good person and a wicked one? There is some goodness even in the worst of us.  And is there anyone who has never been wrong?

A wicked person never changes their ways.  They know the wrong do yet they persist in their ways.

Life comes at us each day as a new gift, the opportunity to begin again.

Our Book of Life opens each day to a new chapter, a new page clean and unblemished.

Slowly, the invisible pen records our life; but we have the power to cross out the lines and write something new, How many times have we said “If only…If I knew then, what I know now…”

On this we repent, we receive the gift of beginning again. We know now what we did n know then. What will we do with our knowledge?

How will we use our gift?
