After a day of speaking up for Jews on global TV nothing says loving like making borekasim with the family. Jewish joy is the best medicine.
Signs hanging from our local freeway yesterday. @jfedla is monitoring this in coordination with our partners. Let’s be strong together and stand up to hate.
Sundays are for bros and football. #letsgocowboys
According to the legend, when God granted the seven species to the land of Israel each had a purpose. Wheat and barley provided sustenance. Fig and date provided sweetness. Olives gave oil for the holy lamp and grapes gave wine for kiddish and sanctification. But what of the pomegranate? It’s fruit is sweet but not as sweet as the fig. It’s juice gives life, but does not sustain like wheat. It’s not used in the Temple for any ritual or elevated as some sacrifice. What then is it’s purpose?
Sharing our community study today with Jewish educational partners I order to help them do their work better. Just another example how @jfedla is making a difference.
